Former child soldier to speak
Ishmeal Beah, author of "A Long Way Gone," will speak at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in Lyte auditorium at Millersville University.
In his book, Beah tells of his years as a child solider after being orphaned by the civil war in Sierra Leone.
"A Long Way Gone" is being read this summer by Millersville's incoming freshmen class.
