Remember me

I was the blogger who was going to read all the Harry Potter books this summer. Well, here it is Labor Day, the official end of summer, and I have a confession to make. I only re-read the first one! What a disappointment. I have no excuse except that other books got in my way-specifically books by Stephenie Meyers.

I read The Host, Meyers Adult SciFi book, and Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in her Twilight series. Neither of these are small books. Breaking Dawn weighed in at 754 pages, so even though I'm a fast reader, both those books took some time.

I won't go into a review of those titles, that will be for another post; needless to say I wish I had a small percentage of her imagination. I liked both of them, I found that I couldn't put them down, but I wasn't left with the feeling I got after reading a Harry Potter book. I guess I'll have to do a comparison between Meyers and Rowling, from my own perspective.

Anyway that's my story. Happy reading!
