The Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education and Kreutz Creek Library will sponsor a discussion of "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver at 7 p.m. March 2 at the Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church social hall, 85 Old Church Lane, west of Hallam.
Participants will taste and discuss food made from recipes in the book.
Kingsolver's book documents her family's challenges, joys and benefits of growing, buying and eating only local, fresh foods for an entire year. Her biologist husband and two daughters also contributed to the lively tale.
