Local artist illustrates new children’s book

freddie.jpg“Freddie the Fish,” written by Francis Wolcott and illustrated by York resident Melissa Warner Bailey, has recently been published.
The book is sold through Wheatmark.com for $13.95. It will also be available on Amazon.com, borders.com and barnesandnoble.com.

    This is in response to the comment by David and wondering why he is questioning the term “illustrates”. I take offense to this, as I drew and painted each page of this story by hand.

    2. a person or thing that illustrates.
    TO illustrate, is to furnish with drawings or artwork. Melissa personally drew each of the pictures by hand, and hand painted them for the book. So David, are you even sure what you are talking about? Melissa, you did a great job!
