Did you get an eReader for Christmas?

We bought our grandson a Sony Reader for Christmas hoping to encourage him to read more and play video games less with this more “techy” way of reading.
Did you receive a gift of an eReader? Do you like it? Hate it? Where are you getting your eBooks?
We want to hear about your eReader experience!

I got a Kindle for Christmas. So far I love it. I love the dictionary and highlighting functions and how quickly you can download new books. Who knew you could improve on a good book?

I received a Sony Reader for Christmas a year ago, and I love it. I have download most of my books from Sony, but intend to try Border’s. I also place pdf files of technical manuals on it and have created a text file that I store on the Reader that contains a list of books by authors I like and whether I have them and/or have read them. The only problem with my Reader is that it does not like the sun. I tried to use it last summer outside and it went blank. I believe some of the new models are okay in the sun. This is where the paper books are used, and for areas where theft could be a problem, like a hospital stay.

My children gave me a Kindle for Christmas. I love it. I have to make myself read some paper books I have instead of the ones on my Kindle. I love that you can get some books free and that you can download a sample from the book before you purchase it. I also learned that you can send paper books for credit on your Amazon account with free shipping.
