York, PA — The concourse at Sovereign Bank Stadium filled Saturday afternoon with girls who had half-butterflies or rainbows swooping down one side of their face and boys who had their faces framed by snakes or bearing half of Spiderman’s mask.
A wandering magician, Dave Rojahn, stopped to hold the attention of small groups of children with tricks like pulling a magic egg from an empty bag and pushing together and pulling apart “elephants’ wedding rings.”
“I did the whole thing,” said Chaz Gallon, 7, who assisted in one of Rojahn’s performances.
