Dillsburg author Nancy Marcinik is celebrating the nationwide release of “Seeking Jesus in Spite of Yourself” May 15 with two book signings in June. The book focuses on Marcinik’s life journey and the beginning of her relationship with God.
“I went through child molestation, abuse, divorce, had an affair, loss of faith, thinking and wondering why does God allow you to suffer like this,” Marcinik said. Then, on a trip to Israel in 2009, Marcinik was baptized in the Jordan River.
“My life was transformed and I began to understand the pain and trials in my life and the purpose Jesus has planned out for me,” she said.
“Seeking Jesus” is being published by Tate Publishing, a faith-based company out of Oklahoma. Marcinik says she’s gotten positive feedback from readers so far.
“I’ve had people read it and tell me how much it’s helped them,” she said, adding that “the book is meant to help people who have gone through suffering, who have a lot of wounds for their childhood or even adult years. Just to understand that they’re not alone.”
