Modern Library’s Top 100 serves up lifetime reading list

The bookend to No. 1 ‘Ulysses’ on Modern Library’s top 100 fiction list is Booth Tarkington’s masterpiece. It’s No. 100.

Modern Library has produced a weighty – make that a daunting – list of 100 top works of fiction in the 20th century.

A local journalist (well, it’s yours truly) is working through this list of novels either through reading or listening to audiobooks.
