Celebrate the Irish June 16 at the 12th Annual Penn-Mar Irish Festival.
Irish author John O’Brien Jr., co-director of the Cleveland Irish Festival and editor of the Ohio Irish American News, will talk about his poetry from
12:15 to 1 p.m. at the North Stage and 4 to 4:45 p.m. at the Cultural Tent.
O’Brien released “First Generation,” a collection of poetry, at the 2011 Irish Books, Art & Music Showcase in Chicago. Read more about him at songsandstories.net.
The Irish festival runs 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Markets at Shrewsbury, 12025 Susquehanna Trail, Shrewsbury Township. Admission is $7 in advance or $10 at the door; children 12 years and younger admitted free.
