Gettysburg author Jessica James honored for novel

"Noble Cause" by Jessica JamesThe Civil War novel “Noble Cause,” written by Gettysburg author Jessica James, is a Bronze winner for the Book of the Year Award in the romance category. The award was announced by Foreword Magazine.

The literary magazine chooses winners based on “editorial excellence, professional production, originality of the narrative, author credentials relative to the book, and the value the book adds to its genre,” according to a press release. Winners will be announced in June.

“Noble Cause” has also won the John Esten Cooke Award for Southern Fiction and the Next Generation Award for Regional Fiction. It was also a historical fiction finalist in the USA Book News “Best Books 2011” contest.

James was also a featured author at the 2012 Amelia Island Book Festival in February, held in Florida. Signed copies of the novel are available at www.jessicajamesbooks.com.
