Join independent bookstore Aaron’s Books for the 2012 Lititz Kid-Lit Festival this weekend. Now in its fourth year, the festival runs Nov. 9-11 in downtown Lititz, celebrating children’s and young adult books and authors.

Things that caught my eye? A local authors night with Lititz- and Lancaster-based authors from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 9; a writing workshop for tweens and teens with Jessica Spotswood at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 10; and a workshop for teachers on incorporating poetry into an elementary school classroom at 1 p.m. Nov. 10.

Of course, that’s just a glimpse at the festival’s offerings. You can find a full schedule for the Lititz Kid-Lit Festival online, plus bios of visiting authors. For details, visit¬†lititzkidlitfest.com.

— Also this weekend? The 3rd Annual Harrisburg Book Festival.
