‘The Civil War in Pennsylvania’ showcases 400 images

The Civil War in Pennsylvania: A Photographic HistoryCurious about the history of Pennsylvania? What about its part in the Civil War?

Pennsylvania Civil War 150, a statewide initiative to commemorate the war’s 200th anniversary, compiled 400-plus photos into a recently released book, “The Civil War in Pennsylvania: A Photographic History.”

Authored by Michael Kraus, David Neville and Kenneth Turner and published by the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, the book draws on many private photo collections, publishing some images for the first time.

The book sells for $34.95 through shoppaheritage.com.
