Red Lion author Amy Kopperude to sign books at Equinox Music and Arts

Amy Kopperude, Red Lion authorJoin Red Lion author Amy Kopperude for “An Afternoon of Insect Curiosities” from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 16 at Equinox Music and Arts, 48 E. Gay St., Dallastown.

Kopperude will sign copies of her new book, “Bead Bugs,” a bug-themed craft book, which was published Dec. 5. Crafting since she was a kid, Kopperude worked on the book’s 23 projects between December 2011 and May 2012. (You can also find her work on Etsy.)

Bead Bugs by Amy KopperudeAlso on hand Sunday will be Maryel Henderson’s stink-bug jewelry, a chance for kids to make their own “humbug” ornament, and a bug bazaar of both live insects and bug themed gifts, according to a release. The event is free.

Equinox Music & Arts co-owner Alison Renner said the business celebrated its grand opening in mid-October, has a recording studio and hosts music and art lessons along with special art, music and book events. For details on the event or the store’s other offerings, call 717-819-8601.
