Scott Mingus reviews Civil War book on Cannonball

The Civil War in Pennsylvania: A Photographic HistoryIt never ceases to amaze me how enthusiastic folks in the area are about the Civil War. It’s fun to hear about new projects or books on different war-time topics as authors find a new take on this centuries-old subject.

Earlier in December, we previewed a new release, “The Civil War in Pennsylvania: A Photographic History.” The book intrigued me because of its focus on photos — being a visual person, that’s how I like to learn.

Last week, local author and Civil War lecturer Scott Mingus alerted me to a more in-depth review of that book that he’d written over on his Civil-War-themed blog, Cannonball. Be sure to check it out.
