Maya Angelou to visit York College Feb. 4

How do you summarize the career of Maya Angelou? She’s a legend. From “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” to her Pulitzer Prize for the screenplay of “Georgia, Georgia,” Angelou has long been a respected name in literature.

Now, on Feb. 4, York College will present “An Evening with Maya Angelou” in the Collegiate Performing Arts Center on campus, 441 Country Club Road, Spring Garden Township.

Free tickets for the 5 p.m. event are required and will be available beginning Jan. 31. There is a limit of two per person. For details, call 717-815-1239 or email cab@ycp.edu.
