The dates have already been set for the 2013 Book Nook Bonanza, put on by the York Hospital Auxiliary: Mark your calendars for June 21 through June 23.
In the meantime, if your bookshelves are overflowing and in need of a good purge, the Book Nook Bonanza is accepting donations through May 20.
The sale accepts paperbacks and hardbacks in good condition (new or used), in addition to magazines, DVDs and CDS. It does not accept National Geographic magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, or any books that are damaged, water stained, or harbor any mold or mildew damage.
Donations can be dropped off at the warehouse at 203 Dewey St., West York, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday and Saturday mornings. Look for “Book Nook” signs when you arrive; dropoff is located at the dock area off the alley located next to the warehouse. Do not leave donations at the warehouse unless a volunteer is present to assist you.
Two community locations will also be set up as of Jan. 21: In the York Hospital parking garage, level one, near the elevator stairwell, and at First Capital Federal Credit Union, 1601 Kenneth Road, West Manchester Township.
Want to donate your time instead of your books? Book Nook Bonanza is also seeking volunteers to sort books for the sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Find details and an application at www.wellspan.org.
