If you’re doing a little spring cleaning and wondering where to drop off gently used books, you’re in luck: Several York-area libraries and organizations are collecting for upcoming used book sales.
- Book Nook Bonanza is accepting donations for its June sale through May 20 at three locations: inside the York Hospital parking garage, level one, near the elevator stairwell; at First Capital Federal Credit Union, 1601 Kenneth Road, West Manchester Township; and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday and Saturday mornings at 203 Dewey St., West York. - The Arthur Hufnagel Public Library of Glen Rock is collecting gently used adult and children’s books for its May book sale during regular library hours. No encyclopedias, condensed readers or magazines. The library is at 32 Main St., Glen Rock; call 717-235-1127 with questions.
- The Friends of the Paul Smith Library of Southern York County will be collecting gently used books, audiobooks, music CDs and DVDs in advance of the annual spring book sale. Donations will be accepted 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14. The library cannot accept magazines, encyclopedias, newspapers or any moldy items.
