Exquisite Teens: A collaborative poetry project with Teen Takeover staff for National Poetry Month

So there’s the Poem of the Month contest, open to all residents of York County and the surrounding region, every month.

Then there’s the Found Poetry Twitter Project, open to anyone with a Twitter account, during April.

But you know who else is into poetry? Some of the staff of our Teen Takeover blog. So for National Poetry Month, there’s also Exquisite Teens, a project with some Teen Takeover writers to create an exquisite corpse.

A what now?

Exquisite Corpse is a line by line collaborative poem. I write a line, then someone else writes a second line, and so on. We’re off and running, with high hopes that we can create something ¬†cool as a group.

While the Poem of the Month entries are immediately visible in the comments thread of the contest announcement post, and the Twitter project lines are visible by a search for #versifyfound, the results of the Exquisite Teens project are on lockdown until the “corpse” is complete. I’ll post the poem in its entirety here at the end of National Poetry.

Are you doing any poetry collaborations this month?
