Several authors, historians, National Park Service rangers and battlefield guides will speak and sign books as part of the Gettysburg Foundation’s annual Sacred Trust Talks and Book Signings June 29-30 and July 5-7.
The 39 scheduled talks will focus on the Civil War, the Battle of Gettysburg and how we remember and commemorate these national anniversaries. All are free and open to the public and will be held in a tent outside the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. Seating is first come, first served.
Readers can also mark their calendars for the Author and Artist Presentation Tent set up at the American Civil War Wax Museum from June 29 through July 7, where 60-plus authors and artists will speak and sell and sign copies of their work.
The American Civil War Wax Museum is located at 297 Steinwehr Ave., Gettysburg. Limited seating is available for these free events; visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for special presentations.
