York County Libraries’ summer reading club has been in full swing since June 1. But that doesn’t take away from the libraries’ mid-summer celebration: The Dig It! Faire will be set up at Gifford Pinchot State Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, July 13.

Spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic lunch, or plan to buy some munchies from Bricker’s Famous French Fries or Souvlaki Boys.

Here’s a schedule of story times and shows:

  • 10:30 a.m. — Stories with Paula Gilbert and Pete the Cat
  • 11 a.m. — Jesse Rothacker’s Undercover Reptile Show
  • Noon — “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and “The Three Little Pigs” puppet shows, presented by Paul Smith Library of Southern York County
  • 1 p.m. — Park naturalist Beth Kepley-McNutt presents “The Wiggly World of Worms”

All events will take place in the Conewago Day Use Area of the park, 2200 Rosstown Road, Warrington Township. For details, visit www.yorklibraries.org.
