Who says you can’t go home?

  1. Thanks for sharing this book news, Sarah.

I’m so excited to be going back home. Hoping to greet old friends and make many new ones at the official book launch Sept. 19 at Lititz Mennonite Church, 165 Front St., Lititz.

My sisters and I will be baking cookies from our great-grandmother’s recipe collection, and there will be Wilbur Bud chocolates and pretzels to celebrate some of the special foods from Lititz. Welcome all!

Great idea for a book, Shirley. Thanks for your insight.

I grew up Brethren and can identify with your experiences as a Mennonite. My siblings and I attended both Brethren and Mennonite Bible School. We have many similarities, except for the mode of baptism.

    • Hi, Dianne,

I think you will enjoy my chapter on grade school. I talk about the very serious conversations I had about mode of baptism with my Church of the Brethren friends on the playground. Do check out the book. Better yet, come to the official launch in Lititz next Thursday. Please introduce yourself if you come. So glad you enjoy reading and Sarah’s cool blog.

  3. Great trailer, Shirley. It really draws the reader into your story.

  4. Thank you, Belinda. So glad you found this post and the trailer. It means a lot to me that you stopped by to comment.
