Local author Karen Rose Smith to hold signings for “Deadly Decor”

Deadly Decor Front CoverAuthor Karen Rose Smith will be having book signings for her latest mystery/romance novel, “Deadly Décor,” from 1 to 3 p.m. June 7 at Books-A-Million in Hanover and noon to 2 p.m. June 14 at Irvin’s Books in York.

I talked to Smith back in October about her romance novel career, as well as her recent foray into the mystery genre. She has published more than 80 novels, and her first mystery novel I read, “Staged to Death,” also included elements of romance. She uses real locations from Adams and York counties in her novels, but invents towns, too. “Staged to Death” was set in a fictional town, Kismet, in between York and Harrisburg.

Smith is a full-time writer, but enjoys gardening, cooking, baking and caring for stray cats in her spare time.

Smith is very active on Facebook and Twitter. You can find her at www.facebook.com/karenrosesmith or follow her on Twitter at @karenrosesmith.
