Dover: Digital Bookmobile coming to Library

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour comes to Dover Area Community Library 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 17. Visitors will learn how to access eBooks from the library through interactive demonstrations and instructional videos.

The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside an 18-wheel tractor-trailer. This 74-foot vehicle is a high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile.

Additional activities will include:

  • York County Libraries’ Tech Gurus will be available to answer questions. Bring your devices.
  • The York Daily Record’s mobile media lab, NewsVroom, and staff will be on site to demonstrate innovations in digital journalism.
  • No Sweat in the Park 6 to 7 p.m. with Zumba instructor Jennifer Miller. Free session!
  • Digital Story Time on the bookmobile with Mr. George at 7 p.m.
  • Girls Go Digital!
  • Susan Byrnes Health Education Center website for kids (grades kindergarten-6) and newly-updated Teen site (grades seventh-12th)

Food will be available near the picnic pavilion.

Library card holders can check out digital titles anytime, anywhere by visiting yorklibraries.org/elibrary.
