Patriot Press will sell Gettysburg author Jessica James' book "Shades of Gray: A Novel of the Civil War in Virginia" at more than 40 percent off the retail price on Patriot Day, Thursday, Sept.11.
"We talked about donating a portion of each book sold to a worthy cause," Jessica James explained, "but then decided to give the discount directly to the people buying the book. Our main motivation is to bring attention to this important day in our history so that people will reflect on the lives lost and think about our country's future."
Regular price is $27.99, but it will be $16.75 (plus $3 shipping) on Thursday.
