I’ve been duped by a fake Charlie Sheen. Should have know the real-deal would never had responded to little old me.
Looks like I got responded to by one of many fake Charlie Sheen accounts. Sheen’s confirmed account has more than a million followers. The one that responded to me has 69. It contains the same picture, looks competely the same but instead of @Charliesheen, it comes across as @CHARLIESHEEN.
What have we learned: Things aren’t always what they seem. Big thank you to co-worker Scott who brought this to my attention.
Have you ever been duped? Please peeps, do share so I don’t feel like the only stupid ass around here.
About this blog

Hi! I'm Buffy. I'm not a vampire slayer but I do love sinking my teeth into social media -- from Facebook to Foursquare. I hope you join me as I explore the digital landscape and have some fun along the way.

Some official sites have had PR people respond to my questions when writing news stories. You can’t be sure who is on the other end. Once I got a quote supposedly from Gov. Charlie Crist (FL) and it was really from an aide, but it was NOT what Crist wanted in print about his dumb-ass health care system “Cover Florida” that sucks money from the poor and gives them nothing in return. You never know who is answering, even if you have the correct site! IT’S NOT YOUR BAD!
I’ll try to put this to good use immeidetaly.
Well put, sir, well put. I’ll cretailny make note of that.
