Google honors veterans with doodle and special site

First, thank you to all of the veterans and current military personnel for serving our country.

I love that Google paid special tribute to our veterans today with this Google Doodle. Google also made a special site for veterans that totally rocks. Here’s a Google blog post about the site.

The watercolor doodle was done by Mike Dutton, a Google staffer whose dad was a Vietnam vet.

For the history of this special day, check this page.

Linkedin also posted about its Veterans Initiative on its blog.

Also, check out Kate Penn’s video interview project featuring local vets. And don’t miss our Remember series where we remember Vietnam War, World War II, the Gulf War, the Invasion of Iraq, and more.
