I’ll never forget my son’s first day of school. It was a BIG event. We shopped for the perfect backpack. Picked out a few new outfits. And, when the bus pulled away from the curb, I melted into a puddle of tears. My baby was growing up.
Each year, we’d mark the beginning of the new school year with a first-day photo. It was a tradition, as I’m sure it is or will be for many of you.
This year, I’m asking York County parents to snap a photo of your child using the Instagram app on your smartphone. You can apply filters, or not.
So that I’m able to find it, please include “#YDRschools” in your photo caption. I will share your photos via various social networking sites, such as Pinterest.
Everyone who shares a photo marked “#YDRschools” will be placed in a random drawing for a $25 Target gift card. Deadline to enter is noon Sept. 5.
