ecoATM at West Manchester Mall caught my green eyes

I was munching on a sub at the West Manchester Mall when I looked up and saw this big green box. Of course, I got out my Droid and snapped a photo and tweeted it right away.

Turns out this green thing is really a “green” thing. It’s called an ecoATM. Here’s how it works.

The website says:

STEP 1: Place your mobile device in the ecoATM test station.
STEP 2: The ecoATM will examine your device and then search for the highest price we can find in the worldwide market.
STEP 3: If you agree to sell it, you will receive cash on the spot.”

There’s also information about sellers giving their Driver’s License and electronic thumbprint. You probably have  ton of questions, as I did. Here’s an FAQ.

Have you seen one of these before? Have you ever used one?
