Twitter: Ability to create polls coming

We’ll soon be able to create polls on Twitter. YAY! Might be a great way to crowdsource and provides a great interactive component.

Here’s the skinny:

  • Polls will consist of one question with 2 answer choices
  • Poll questions will be live for 24 hours
  • Users can participate in as many polls as they’d like
  • Poll votes are not shared publicly

One way I could see using this is during an awards show. Say for instance you’re watching the Oscars and when they announce the best picture, you disagree. A lot of people disagree. You could tweet a poll question: Did the Academy make the right choice? And your options would be Yes or No. Instantly the world could weigh in on the decision. Love it!

How will you use this?
