Three mini-presentations are on tap for the Friday, June 11 meeting of the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table. Members Edward Boggs, Mary Ann Mattis and Douglas Maun will each give a brief presentations on a particular aspect of the war that interests them. The organization will also hold its annual business meeting with election of officers and voting on a revised constitution.
The Harrisburg Civil War Round Table meets at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center, Camp Hill, PA, Camp Hill Bypass @ Routes 11&15. An informal reception starts at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:45. The cost of dinner is $20.00 and reservations must be made by no later than Tuesday, June 8, by calling 717-938-3706. The program begins at 8:00 PM and is free to the public.

Scott L. Mingus, Sr. is a scientist and executive in the paper and printing industry, as well as the author of several books and magazine articles on the Civil War, including some that deal primarily with York County during the Gettysburg Campaign.

Excellent blog you have. Having grown up near Glenville, PA, I attended high school at South Western H.S. in Hanover. I’ve long been a big fan of American History and I’m finding your blog to be very interesting. Are you a licensed Battlefield Guide? My history teacher in H.S. was Frederick Hawthorne and my family is friends with Larry Wallace. Unfortunately, I’m living in central Indiana right now but plan to get to Gettysburg for this year’s History Meets the Arts.
