Word out of Harrisburg is that Gov. Rendell and the legislative leaders may have finally ... FINALLY ... reached a compromise that will end Pennsylvania's status as the only state not yet to have ratified its budget for the current fiscal year (which began July 1, by the way).
Man, this has just been ... You know what? Rather than trying to describe how torturous this whole process has been, maybe I can find something roughly equivalent to illustrate it.

You mean you don't think lawmakers trying to JAM a budget through a TOUGH SPACE like the governor's office is anything like this?

Dear Tom,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank you for causing me to waste an entire day watching Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! videos on Youtube. I watched with glee as physical violence was imparted on contestants on their show, but am now in much pain myself as I have a huge headache from sitting so close to the computer screen and crying from laughing so hard, and the video you posted has left me completely paranoid that I will some day have to face a machine like that.
Thanks a whole lot. I came to your blog looking for political commentary, and you gave me this. I hope you get attacked by a chinko machine.
JAM through a TOUGH SPACE? Dang! I was almost afraid to watch that video. I'm glad I did, though. That was awesome!
Thanks! Just doing my part to further erode our nation's workplace productivity by introducing others to clips of twisted Japanese game shows on the Internet. The Japanese realize something that our culture seems to have forgotten since The Three Stooges faded from the scene -- physical violence inflicted on other people is inherently funny.
How did I ever entertain myself before Youtube came along? Oh yeah ... I got drunk and watched cable.
