The Dover Area School District will accept its award as a “Best Community for Music Education” on Monday.
The district received the designation from the NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to advancing participation in music, in May. Menchey Music will present the award, one of 179 in the country, at 7 p.m. at North Salem Elementary School, 5161 N. Salem Church Road, Dover.
The winners are determined using a web-based survey that evaluates each district through questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation and other elements.
