West York student wins anti-smoking poster contest

A WestYork student is featured in the summer issue of Keystone Physician magazine after winning the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians Tar Wars poster contest.

Alexis Colon, 11, is a student at Lincolnway Elementary School, according to the article. She won for her poster featuring flowers and sky with the message “I’d rather smell the flowers than smoke,” the article says.

She’ll now head to Washington D.C. for the national level of the contest. Read all about her on pages 44-45!
