Video: Hear the school board’s reasons for denying New Hope Academy charter renewal

On Wednesday, the York City School Board voted not to renew the charter for New Hope Academy Charter School for another five years.

Charter school officials plan to appeal, and during that time the school can remain open.

During the board meeting, the board’s solicitor read a lengthy list of reasons for denying renewal. The reasons will be detailed in a written adjudication that will be later provided to the charter school.

Watch the nearly eight-minute video below to hear the reasons cited for denying the charter renewal.
