York College’s men’s and women’s rugby teams raised $1,300 in their first Ruck Cancer fundraiser game on Saturday, said Jason Steinmetz, men’s rugby president.

The teams partnered with the Colleges Against Cancer club to raise awareness about breast cancer. They sold t-shirts and held raffles during the game, and the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society of York.

The men’s team won their game 38-17 over Bloomsburg, and the women’s team lost to Drexel, 30-7.
