Traffic change coming at York College main entrance

Starting Jan. 2, there will be a traffic change at the York College main entrance, according to a post on the college’s Facebook page.

“At the request of Spring Garden Township and to alleviate congestion and improve traffic safety, beginning Jan. 2, left turns from the main entrance of campus onto Country Club Road will be prohibited between the hours of 7 – 9 a.m. and 3 -6 p.m. (Monday through Friday),” the post says. “The use of the Newberry Street exit or the West Springettsbury bridge into the Jackson Street Parking lot is recommended (at the 4-way stop).”

A few commenters suggested a traffic light might be needed. Anyone live around there or drive Country Club Road regularly? Do you think the change will be helpful?
