York College updates presidential search process

The committee searching for a new president for York College posted a new update online, which you can read here.

The nugget of news, to me, was that several of the nearly 200 who applied have been interviewed, and two candidates have visited the campus. Others will follow, the update says.

The update also says that while the committee is confident it will meet its goal of having a nominee recommended to the board of trustees in the spring, they appreciate George Waldner’s willingness to stay on board, if necessary, until a successor is appointed.

Waldner is to retire June 30.
