York College students covering climate change conference in Poland

Students from York College will be representing the American Chemical Society at a conference on climate change in Poland through Nov. 22.

Nikki DeLuca and David Millard were chosen to represent the society at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s 19th Conference of Parties in Warsaw, DeLuca said in an email.

“We are aiming to learn how the global community is able to communicate between scientists and policy makers to address global issues like climate change,” she wrote.

The students will be covering the conference through a blog and social media. They’ll also be offering webcasts that will be open to the public at York College. The calls will include students in Warsaw talking about their experience at the conference and answering questions.

There are four sessions, all to be held in the Weinstock Lecture Hall in the Willman Business Center:

  • 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Nov. 14
  • 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Nov. 21
