PSSA test windows extended because of the weather

The testing period for the PSSA math, reading and writing assessments has been extended to accommodate for instructional time lost because of the weather, according to the Pennslvania Department of Education.

Northern teacher talks about working on the Common Core

While I was working on stories about the Common Core, I spotted some local names among those educators participating in state committees that worked on the new state standards. One is Emily Reed, a reading specialist at Dillsburg Elementary School in the Northern York County School District.
