South Western, Spring Grove, West York top seat belt challenge
Three local high schools — South Western, Spring Grove Area, and West York — took the top honors in the Second Annual York/Adams High School Seat Belt Challenge, according to a news release.

South Western students win mobile app design contest
Emory H. Markle Intermediate School, in the South Western School District, was among 10 winners in a national competition challenging students to develop mobile apps to address a need or problem in their schools or communities.
York County teachers named to Shippensburg ‘outstanding’ list
Many York County teachers have received Shippensburg University Study Council’s 2012-13 Outstanding Teacher honors.
