Live Coverage of the Joshua Lookingbill Homicide Trial

A stabbing victim, his girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend were involved in a love triangle that ended when one man stabbed the other early Jan. 31, 2013 in York, according to police.

Joshua Justin Lookingbill, 25, of the 700 block of West Poplar Street is charged with homicide and burglary in the death of 37-year-old Nakia Sharif Williams.

Olga Cuadra called 911 after she awoke, Williams sat up, told her to call the police and an ambulance and then fell back into bed, according to an affidavit of probable cause. She saw that his body was bloody.

Police and emergency responders rushed to the home in the 400 block of South Pershing Avenue and found Williams dead from multiple stab wounds, court papers state.

Cuadra’s 7-year-old son told her that he had seen Lookingbill run downstairs from the second floor, the affidavit states. Lookingbill is the father of three of Cuadra’s children. It was unclear if the 7-year-old is Lookingbill’s.

Cuadra said Lookingbill had made prior threats to kill the victim, the affidavit states.

On Friday, Judge Thomas H. Kelley granted Lookingbill the right to represent himself at trial.
