Paul's Pancake Barn, I mean, Flapjack's Pub

Paul's Pancake Barn is a long-standing Dillsburg establishment. Though if you go looking for it by that name, you won't find it. Nowadays it goes by the name Flapjack's Pub. They added a pub to the back, expanded the menu, did a little remodeling and gave it a shiny, new name.

But to locals it will always be Paul's Pancake Barn.

While I'm sure their menu has lunch and dinner items, I couldn't tell you anything about them. Paul's Pancake Barn is solely a breakfast place for me. It's where my grandpa used to go every morning to sit at their counter and drink a cup of coffee. It's where I always ordered a Humpty Dumpty (3 silver dollar pancakes, 2 strips of bacon and 1 egg) as a kid. To be honest, I still order the Humpty Dumpty every time I'm there.

It's not the classiest of places. Your time there differs greatly depending on which waiter/waitress is assigned to your table. You may even catch a typo or two on the menu, but then that's my job. I can't not catch typos. Despite all this, Paul's Pancake Barn is always busy on weekend mornings.

I don't get there too often. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but there are Saturdays when I wake up and think, "Let's go to Paul's for breakfast."
