Are you finding that you have way too much Halloween candy leftover? Whether your kid made out a little too well trick or treating this year or you bought so much candy and no one knocked on your door, you find yourself inundated with Halloween candy. The thought of another sugar high (whether your child's or your own) is too much to handle.
Relax, there is an option. Some dental offices will buy back your Halloween candy for around $1 per pound, sometimes more. What's even better, most of those dental practices then send that candy to our soldiers through Operation Gratitude.
Go to www.halloweencandybuyback.com and search for a participating dental office near you. I did a quick search for our local area and only found three offices: one in Gettysburg, one in Chambersburg and another in Millersville. There's also a place on the website where dental offices can join the Buy Back Movement.
Or you can just send your candy directly to Operation Gratitude. The candy donated to Operation Gratitude is not only distributed and eaten by American troops, but it's also given out to the children in the communities those troops patrol. Think of the impact you can make with that heaping bowl of unwanted candy!
Ship your candy donations by Dec. 5th to:
Operation Gratitude/California Army National Guard

All kinds of candy is accepted, including chocolate. For more information, go to www.OperationGratitude.com.
