It's here... The holidays have crept up on us. Wasn't it just Halloween? There are many signs of a holiday invasion out there. Radio stations have started sneaking in the occasional Christmas song among their usual audio offerings and stores are already fairly coated in glitter and tinsel.
Another telltale sign of the times...Stauffer's Chocolate Stars. Thanks to a generous co-worker, I have a box of milk chocolate stars stashed away at my desk. And because of this co-worker and my lack of willpower for most things chocolate-covered, I've already eaten too many chocolate stars and we're only about two weeks away from Thanksgiving.
You may know the name Stauffer's for another snack food reason. They're the guys responsible for animal crackers too, which they've been producing here in York since the first batch rolled out in 1871. Did you know there's a Stauffer's Cookie Outlet here in York? It's true and it's dangerous. I haven't been there yet, it's kind of a new discovery for me, but it's located at 360 S. Belmont Ave., York, PA 17403.

These are my favorite holiday snack. This past Easter I had the
misfortune of finding out that they make milk chocolate covered bunnies as well!!! I don't know if I cand handle these chocolate covered treats twice a year! :)
I got a box of dark chocolate ones. So delicious!

OMG! I absolutely must walk thru Giant with blinders on this time of year and at Easter time and not see these Stauffers displays.

The dark stars can't be beat. We're visiting relatives in Florida next month and they've already asked us to bring along a few boxes.
