I just saw this story in USA Today that some campgrounds are getting -- and advertising -- free WiFi access.
I guess I knew this day would come. But I kind of hoped it would hold off a bit longer.
I don't know about you, but I go camping because I want to get away from the computer that I stare at for hours every day. I want to rest my eyes with the beauty of the great outdoors -- the plants and animals and natural light. I want to disconnect and decompress.
Leave a comment -- what you think of WiFi in the woods?

I join you in your anti-WiFi-in-the-woods sentiment. I just spent the weekend at Ricketts Glen State Park (which I'm convinced is the most beautiful place in Pennsylvania by the way) and had ZERO cell phone service and it was lovely. I'm all about escaping technology while camping as well.
I agree that camping is all about friends and family. We have enough technology distraction at home and vacation, esp. camping, is the time to get back to the things that are really important!
