According to this story that came out today, there's something new to worry about when you travel by air.
Not only must you ditch the liquids, sharp objects, shoes, belt, laptop, camera, maybe some clothes (if they set off the alarms), do a little dance, turn around three times, cross your fingers, wave a magic wand and hope you don't get picked for extra screening, now there's something else to be concerned about at the airport security checkpoint.
Your expression.
No, I'm not kidding.
Had a bad day? Annoyed with all the hoops you have to jump through just to get where you're going?
Don't let your disgust show.
Got the jitters about flying?
Just make sure they can't see the fear in your eyes.
Apparently the latest in security measures is to employ behavior-detection officers who are trained to pull folks aside if they show fear, disgust or any other emotions that indicate they could have something to hide.
I'm all for keeping the skies safe, but come on. I'm afraid where something like this might lead...I just hope it doesn't show next time I get on a plane.
I'm especially curious to hear what you think of this. Post a comment and share with other readers.
