Arlene Schmitt of York Township stands in the Galleria in Milan during a 10-day trip to Italy last fall. She also visited Rome, Florence, Pompeii, Capri, Venice, Lake Lugano and Sorrento.
Her travel tip: If you are traveling with a companion, pack half of your things in each other's suitcase. That way, if one suitcase is lost, you each have enough to get by for a few days.
