It has been nearly a full week since my last post. I apologize!!
(Apparently no one missed the blog though because I didn't get any e-mails or comments on older posts!)
Here is my excuse:
And, a list of what I've learned in the past week about moving and becoming a homeowner:

*The hours that Home Depot is open are never long enough.
*No matter how close Home Depot is, it's not close enough.
*Stuff they say is "standard" really isn't when your house was built more than 100 years ago.
*For every five things you buy, you'll have to take three back. Keep receipts.
*When your mail gets forwarded, the bills show up but not the checks.
*Everything will take twice as long to complete as you expected.
*You choose clothing based on what you can find at the top of the boxes and bags and hope nobody notices.
*During settlement, you sign your name between 50 to 75 times. (This courtesy of my title lady, who humored me and my random questions)
*You really can cut things with a plastic spoon -- if you try hard enough.

ur only highlighting the negative stuff. what about how it feels to finally be able to call a place ur own, no matter how much tlc it may need.
It will be over before you know it and you'll have a lovely tranquil retreat to escape to!
