Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon, two world renowned chainsaw carvers will be at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in Millersburg.
Yes, it will take you a little more than an hour's drive to get there from York.
But you can make some fun stops on the way home -- including two of my favorites: Sledworks in Duncannon and The Millersburg Ferry.
Rodney Holland of Scotland is a certified master chainsaw carver and director of the International Chainsaw Carvers Guild.
Rick Boni is from Ridgway, where he hosts the annual Ridgway Chainsaw Carvers Rendevous, the country's largest gathering of chainsaw artists.
I haven't been to the Ned Smith Center yet, but it's on my "to visit" list. If you go this weekend -- or if you've been there in the past -- please leave a comment and let me know how it is!
