I was reading this story and wondered how baggage can be "irretrievably lost"?
Is it like when you put your socks in the laundry?

haha when moving once, I actually found several socks & even a shirt, in the outgoing water pipe from the washer.... goes it goes over the edge of the inner tub and goes out with the water
